Following OpenAI’s release of GPT-5, competition among leading AI providers has intensified. Users expect updates across major model families.

The market will resolve to YES for a given option if, between 00:01 ET on August 12, 2025 and 23:59 ET on the date specified by that option, xAI announces and actually provides public access to Grok 5, including an open beta or an open waitlist; closed betas and any form of private access do not count. Grok 5 means a product explicitly named Grok 5 (including variants such as Grok 5.0) or an officially recognized successor to Grok 5; products labeled Grok 4.1 or similar do not count.
