On July 22, 2025, at the age of 72, the Chair of the Supreme Court of Russia, Irina Podnosova, passed away. Under the current regulations, in the event of an early termination of the Chair’s powers, the President of the Russian Federation may at any time within six months submit to the Federation Council a nomination for the appointment of a new Chair. After that, the Federation Council holds a vote on the appointment.

The market will resolve as YES if, by 23:59 UTC on 31.10.2025, the Federation Council appoints a new Chair of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.
